Olá,

Brevemente agradeço os novos conhecimentos acerca de quem está a tornar-se uma peça de culto. Redescubri os três mosqueteiros e a sua saga, e estou adorando, simplesmente.

Also, don't forget to check out my page on Ralph Nevill, translator to the English addition of "The Memoirs of d'Artagnan." His very interesting, and informative preface is read there!

Thank you to everyone who loves d'Artagnan and the Musketeers! And thanks for stopping by. Lari, I have recently added on my Hoax page the prefaces of both Courtilz and Dumas, and I plan on adding the preface of Feval very soon. I don't think you are going to find anywhere else on the web the preface of Feval's "Years Between Series!" And it is rare enough to have Courtilz's preface to "The Memoirs of d'Artagnan."

Though, I just have to ask, are you sure that your sources are trustworthy? I have no idea where you get your information, but I just dont trust all sources. I have heard that d'Artagnan was a real person, but I thought that he didn't have any children. Where did you find the information about this?!blink

Do you think he's got living relatives today? It would be fun meeting thembig grin

I've been reading some documents on the internet, mostly Wikipedia. There they said that d'Artagnan was Cardinal Mazarin's soldier nearly whole his life! I know Dumas changed a lot of facts about d'Artagnan in the novel, but that just sound weird. What do you think about this? I've also found different versions about his death. I dont know if out translation of the novel(norwegian) is as correct as possible, but there I r

I dont know if our version of the novel is as correct as possible, but there I read that he was killed by a cannonball, not a musket ball or a bullet. I'm a bit confused.
